A good machine for a home or small trade workshop where there is a need for a medium-sized planer thicknesser. The body and tables are constructed from rigid aluminium castings and the stand from heavy duty steel sheet, all of which give a very solid feel to the machine. The 260mm wide two-blade planer block is driven by a 2.2kW motor and will prove more than adequate for the majority of applications, although a 16 amp supply may prove necessary in those situations where the voltage is on the low side. The generous 3mm maximum cutting depth is useful when cleaning up rough sawn or twisted timber. The cutter block, which rotates at 6500rpm, is fitted with two double-edged disposable knives which can be easily replaced without the need for complicated re-setting of the height.
